ABOUT ME

Biography

Katie Quinn is a sophomore from Upper Marlboro, MD studying Agriculture Science and Technology and Theatre at the University of Maryland. Her interests include taking care of her plants and performance work of all kinds, especially theatre, dance, and film. She is particularly interested in the storytelling aspects of these mediums. She hopes to find new and unique ways of storytelling and performing to make these art forms more accessible and less intimidating to her peers and communities. 

During her time in the Arts Scholars program, Katie hopes to be exposed to new and exciting art forms and take those experiences and use them to help her better understand how we as a society express ourselves and tell our stories. She hopes that her sophomore Capstone project will emulate these ideas and give her audience newfound understanding of those around them, whatever form it takes.
